Butterflies and Moths

Good afternoon and Happy Friday... I have felt so much better this week. My anxiety has pretty much gone. Thanks for the well wishes Terrie. Love ya.
I did this card for the weekly sketch challenge at Cardmakers. This week it was hosted by the lovely Lora our administrator and director of our MB. I had fun doing this as I kept it simple. The sketch was great and if anyone wants to join the group just go over HERE and become a member. We have so much fun and everyone is sweet and very tallented cardmakers. It's a drama free enviroment... There is plenty of fun...crops, swaps, challenges, and lots of chats... Here is my card for this week:

I used paper from the Mariposa pack from DCWV. (love this paper)
The embossed butterfiles are cut with the embossing die cut from SU. and MS.
The ribbon is tea dyed made by me. (seam binding by "Hug Snug")
Pearls by Kaiser
Punch is by EK Sucess.
Die cuts are nesties.

It's a little early but it's for Fathers Day!!!

Hi all,
I did this card for the weekly challenge at Cardmakers, hosted by Angelina. We were to use a fish or water animal theme. I racked my brain and remembered the stamps of fishing I bought a few years ago from SU. I thought.. "oh ya" this is fish themed!!! I stamped the image with stazon brown ink and water coloured it with reinkers from SU. I cut the fish and the fly out and placed it to look like the fish was taking the hook... I distressed it to look old so I found the sentiment to be fitting too!!! Heheheheh!!! I liked how it turned out and I hope my hubby will too...

Thanks for stopping by,
Hugs xx
Challenges:
Cardmakers - anything with a fish or water animal.
Simple Doodles - anything you want that's old looking.

StretchNBubbles is excited to announce their new Weekly Sketch Challenge. Each week there will be a new sketch designed by Alison for you to play along with. Post your entry to the SNB Sketch Challenge Blog and you're in the running for a weekly top three award. A random winner will be chosen each week as well and that person will win any SNB image of their choice.

Here is the sketch:

I chose this darling Giraffe image to make my sketch card. I followed the sketch pretty close. I just left out two of the squares. All in all I loved how cute it can be for a new baby card, or you could do a Birthday card or anything else that you can imagine... So......
Be sure to leave a comment here on this post. I'll choose a winner from all the comments on Wednesday, April 14th and that person will win the image I used in my card. Leave comments on all the DT's posts along the hop and you can win the images they used too. Once you've made your way through the hop, you'll be in the running for the overall blog hop winner which means FOUR SNB images of your choice.
Your next stop is Marcy. After you've visited all the DT's blogs and left them comments, we invite you to play along in the first ever SNB Sketch Challenge.
Good Luck and have fun today and thanks for stopping by...

My Guiding Light...

I finally got this card done just in time for Faith's Challenge this week at Designed 2 Delight. I fell in love with this darling light house digi. It's a change from all the Spring cards I have done lately. It's a great image for a man's card. I used watercolours on this to make it look more old looking. I kept it more simple than I'm use to doing, but I loved how it turned out.
