My Themes from the Orient Column for Speedy TV.

Happy Friday and welcome to another Oriental Theme column.
Today I'd like to show you a card and a little bit of information about the Crane and how it is recognized in the Asian culture.
Cranes are an important symbol in several Asian cultures. In
China and Japan, cranes are a symbol of longevity and good
fortune because they live a long time. They are also a symbol of
fidelity since they mate for life.

Tutorial Time on Speedy TV #90 Never Ending Card

Hi, Happy Friday!!!
The tutorial this week is brought to you by Pat.  She is showing us how to make a "Never Ending Card".  You can find the tutorial HERE.  I have made one of these once before and I wasn't to happy with it.  I couldn't get it to lay flat.  This tutorial is a really easy one to follow and I think if you crease it really good you will have better luck than I had...
Here is my card
The set I used is from
Mark's Finest Papers a HRC

101 Ways and Counting Column 02/24/14

Hi and welcome to my column 101 Ways and Counting.
Today I am showing you a card I made, clean and simple with a touch of watercolor.  Water coloring is becoming more popular in the card making world.  I love the bit of texture it adds to cards.  I added some sequins to give it just a little bling.  Here is my card...
I used the single poppy flower in the set by Mark's Finest Papers "Welcome Poppies".  I stamped, cut the image out and stamped and cut another flower out.  I added pop dots to raise it up a little.  The bottom petal was also stamped, cut, and popped.  A little bakers twine and a embossing folder behind the main panel and there you have it....
I hope you have found some inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by...  Be sure to stop by Friday for my "Themes from the Orient column.
Hugs, Jane
