This blog hop has a theme. The theme is: I have been blessed! I have been blessed with good health (except just the getting old thing). I have a wonderful loving caring husband of 32 years who is my very best friend, we have three beautiful daughters that we adore. We also have been blessed with 3 great son in laws and 5 grandsons that are the love of our life. I could go on and on forever how much I am blessed, but these are the very most important blessings to me.
My project for the hop today is a gift bag and tag to hold the hot pads and dish clothes I have been working on for my daughters for Christmas. They love handmade so I decided to crochet these for them.

Hi all... I haven't been on my blog for such a long time... I don't know why... It seems like I don't have time any more. I have been working on a few projects and I would love to share them with you... First is a muslin bag I made for a swap at YPP. It was for the challenge group "A Pocket For Your Thoughts". The idea of the group is to create something and add tags with your thoughts. Here is what I did...

I really enjoyed doing this type of swap. Just a little different and challenging. Especially because I haven't sewn anything in such a long time!!!

Cards done finally...

Hi all...
I finally found some time to get a few things done. I have been involved with Your Paper Pantry swaps for the last few months and have had a great time doing them, but they are very time consuming.
I am posting two cards that I did today for the card challenges at Card Makers. Teresa is hosting the sketch challenge this week. Here is the card I did for her challenge.

I used papers that I bought at Hobby Lobby. I fell in love with the hounds tooth print. The cordinating paper fit perfectly with the pattern. I found a Vintage tin can at a local thrift shop full of fabulous treasures of old buttons still with thread on them. I added a stick pin and a silk ribbon bow, some vintage dyed lace. The sentiment is from Papertey Ink.
My next card is for a challenge that Linda Jo is hosting this week. The challenge was to create a card using a technique she found on Dawns Stampin Thoughts. What a fun new fold this was!!! I loved how this turned out...

Hi all... Just a really quick post today to show you the flowers I made for a swap at Mini Album Scraps. The colors we were to use were teal ,black, and white. I did one in fabric, one in paper, and one in ribbon and crochet. I loved how these turned out and hope you like them too...

I finally have a card to post today. I had my surgery 2 weeks ago on my ankle and haven't felt like doing to much. I got this card done for a sketch challenge over at CardMakers hosted by Angelina this week... I also needed a wedding card so I made it with that in mind... I love how this turned out, I liked the look of the cardboard and tulle behind the die cut.

I made the flower and added some more tulle and a few pretties and a stick pin. The center of the flower is a pearl button and down the leaf is a curled piece of coated wire. I used a border die by Papertrey Ink and some fun lace from my stash.

Stick Pins...

Hi! Sorry for being away for awhile... Had a lot of drama in my life. I wanted to post one of the stick pin packages and pins that I did for a swap hosted by Susie Q. on CardMakers. This is my first attempt at making so many! I loved doing them and can't wait to see what I get from all the creative ladies in return. Thanks in advance everyone :)
Here is the package that I created to hold them. I used the new die Seed Packet from Papertrey Ink . I love it!!! It makes the cutest holder. I used Tim Holtz new stamp set "Haberdashery" and created the labels, cut some cute little flowers with some fabric I picked up yesterday in the interfacing section at JoAnns. I added a brad and used distress ink and a sweet paper doily, a feather and whala...

Now the back...

I added another two of Tim Holtz stamped images, added buttons some twine and closed it up...

For the pin holder I stamped an image cut it out added a tag at the top and used some felt to hold them in place. We made 4 stick pins each for everyone in our group so if you see this then you'll know what you are getting...LOL.
Now the package!!! I used a glassine bag from Papertrey Ink added a die cut envie a little card with my name on it and there you have it!!! Wow this was a lot of work but I love how this all turned out...

I was assigned the color orange I was really surprised... and to tell you the truth... scared to get the color ORANGE!

I used my nesties and stacked them three high with pop dots but the picture doesn't show this to well... I stamped the peach and saying in a darker orange so it would show up. I cute a flower out of Crinoline with the Tim Holtz flower die from Sizzix's, hand died the seam binding and fabric with SU ink. The borders are EK Sucess and the top one is Spellbinders. I added a handmade stick pin just for a little more bling. It's a pretty simple card and I hope you like it!!!
We aren't doing prizes on the hop, but there will be a spot in the forum where everyone can upload blog hop inspired projects.

Challenge Card at CardMakers

Just a quick post this morning showing my card I did for the challenge at CardMakers this week hosted by Lora. The theme was to simplify, using only card stock and no designer paper. This was a challenge for me as I love my designer paper soooo much. I think I pulled it off though with the lattice and the use of my paper flowers that I made. What do you think? :)

I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. This was my first attempt with a lattice card. Not as hard as I thought it would be to make.

I have so neglected my blog... It just seems to be on the back burner lately. I miss being on a design team because I use to post so often... Well I do do the challenges at CardMakers so I will post a few cards that I have done for them. My first one is for a sketch challenge hosted by Golda. It was a little different but a great one...

Hope you like it. It was so fun to do. I used some old die cuts to make the shoe and added little pink rinestones for the buttons. The flower has two bottom layers with some organzia, crocheted flower, burlap flower, and a butterfly on top.

Hi friends! Today I'm to posting a card that I did for the challenge at CardMakers. It is hosted by Ellie. The challenge is to create a card using the measurements of 6" x 4". I loved this as you can fit some much on the card. I loved being able to showcase this beautiful paper. It is so springy and cheerful. We need some of that here as we have had such a long hard winter! I have been making my own flowers to sell on ETSY. I will have my shop up soon. This flower on the card is just one of my creations.

Here is a closeup of the flower: I used chiffon on the lawyers of yellow and green, the pink is a silky soft chiffon like fabric also.

Hope you are all staying warm!!!

Oh... has it been a horrible winter!!! I can't remember it ever being this cold... I need mittens on just to type this...HA... I hope everyone is staying warm.
I did two cards this weekend and I finally found time to post today. Hubby had to go to the doctors so I was home trying to keep the fire going. Sometimes I fill like a prairie woman from the 1800's. I bet they were always cold... Anyway I did these cards for the challenges this week at CardMakers. Lora hosted the sketch challenge. She had us pick our favorite sketch from last year. I chose one of my sketch's, as the site was down all day Sunday and I had a copy, so this is what I came up with...

Happy Friday my dear friends. I hope you are having a great day!
I have some news to share today with you. I have had to resign from my design team duties at Designed 2 Delight. I have loved working with all the ladies and especially Faith. She is such a sweet person and I will miss doing cards with all her wonderful images. I found myself just needing more time to do some things to make a little money for myself. I couldn't commit 100% to my responsibilities for Faith and the team anymore like I should. So another chapter has opened in my life and I am taking on a new adventure...

I chose to do a double flap card. I found this pattern at Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. It is quite easy to make and I love the idea of the flaps on the front.

Well I am not feeling to great today and forgot to get this posted... I did this card for a friends daughter of mine. I love this cute image from Faith at Designed 2 Delight. If you want to pick this cutie up just pay her shop a visit HERE.

The inside:

I had done this for a challenge at CardMakers but I didn't get a chance to enter it. We were to make a Gate fold card. I really liked doing this...it was a change from just the traditional cards that I am always doing.

I made the flower with my new punches from Mc Gill. They are very fun and easy to use to make 3D flowers. Love them!!! I added a small Prima and a brad to give it color and some glitter to give it some sparkle.

"Images the Designers Love" Valentine Blog Hop

Love EWE!!!

Hi... glad to get back to the blogging world again. I haven't posted to my blog for a few weeks now. It has been so cold up here and we have had so much snow that the Internet and the phone lines have been all messed up! They were up here today working on them and hopefully they have the problem fixed.

I have done a few cards this week for Designed 2 Delight. The one I am posting today is the freebie for this week at the progressive challenge that Faith has every Friday. You need to start at the first of the month to get the first one free (by the way its this one) and then post a card by the next Friday and you will receive the next weeks free. If you missed out on the first you can get it at the shop HERE.

This digital cutie is called "Love Ewe". Faith has really been busy with some cute images so go and pay a visit to here shop and see all the new things that are available...

I used lots of glitter on the Sheep, heart, butterfly, and flower. It doesn't show well in photo's but I love the effect it gives things. The paper is from Stampin Up from a few years ago. (Using my stash up :). I cut the image with a circle nestie and sponged the edges with SU ink and used a lace doily on the bottom. The trim is from Fancy Pants and a local fabric store. The butterfly and flower are made with my new punches from Mc Gill. They have some awesome ones to make 3 dimmesional flowers with. So Cute!!!!

BRRRRR!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
I hope you are all enjoying your day today... We have been snowed in for a few days now. We have about 4 feet of snow and below zero temps today. It's soooo cold.
So guess what is going on over at the Card Ideas blog??? A new challenge that will be going every week on Saturday's. Guess what Debbie has chosen for the theme for the first challenge... I used the cute "Stitched Snowman" image for my card. Isn't it just cute!

I used alot of things from my stash... I am trying this year to use up some of the papers that I have. So the polka dots are from Daisy Dee, the Brrr is one of my old Sizzix dies from years ago. The hearts are Nestabilities, the snowflake is MS. bakers twin is MS. Colored with Tria and Copics.

A Way in the Manger

Just a quick post today. I have so much to get done!!! Holiday's are close!!!!

I did this card with the image collection from Faith at Designed 2 Delight. I love it. You can pick it up HERE

I colored it with my Copic and Tria markers then distressed the edges with Distressing ink. Next I cut it out with my Spellbinder Dies popped it up and layered it on top of the blue. I used papers from Websters Pages from last years Christmas stack. (love these papers)!!! Glitter was added to the edges of the image and the star. The sentiment was a freebie from another site. Just a little lace and a star from my stash, some gems and it's done...

Candy Lane

Well it's Monday and it has been a very lovely day outside. Hubby and I enjoyed a little sunshine and warmth of the sun as we ate lunch on the front porch. For all you back in the East I am sorry for all your cold weather.

It's getting close to Christmas and I still have a lot to do to get ready. My daughter is coming up on Wednesday and we are going to bake and make candy. Can't wait to see her!!!

Here is a card I did for the Wednesday sketch challenge at CardMakers. It was a simple sketch, but trust me to add as much as I can and get away with it!!!LOL. The cute ice skater Gingerbread girl is from one of Faiths new images for this month. You can find her and her brother at the Designed 2 Delight store HERE.

Christmas Poinsettia

Good Morning to you!!!

I did this card with my dear Aunt Jean in mind! She use to grow these flowers every Christmas in her green houses and then sale them to all the stores and shopping malls at Christmas time. They start growing these in July. If you ever get a chance to go inside a green house with these lovely flowers growing you are in for a wonderful treat. It is just BEAUTIFUL!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and a wonderful weekend... We had snow snow and more snow!!! I stayed in the house most of the weekend by the fire and staying warm. I did get a few crafting things done.
I did this card for the challenge at Designed 2 Delight this week. Faith has some really cute images for the holiday's...I hope you will all stop by the store and get a few.
I love this cocoa image...so many possibilities with this!!! I went with a blue and red theme card. I love these colors together and they could be for Christmas or any winter theme.

Good Morning everyone... Glad you stopped by today, the DT for Design2Delight is hosting a different kind of blog hop. You can go here to find everyone who is playing and then click on their gift photo and it will take you to their blog for you to get more details. No getting lost in the hop on the way. PLUS there will be random drawings for commenting on each hop post and on the Card-Ideas post.
Here is my project that I made for the hop... This is a great neighbor gift to give that doesn't cost much to make and very easy to do... We are all about things being easy right???? So go to the shop at Designed 2 Delight and pick up this darling set. Get a whisk, candy, ribbon, ( I used tulle ) and a cello bag, print out the whisk and the candy cane wreath. Print out the saying " We "WHISK" you a Merry Christmas" I cut this out with a circle nestie...
I put the candy inside the whisk,( the photo was hard to capture this)...
Get out the markers color the images, cut them out and add your saying inside the candy cane wreath. Place the whisk on the side add a bit of bakers twine to tie them on the ribbon added to tie up the package and there you go. !!! NOTE!!! I spelled WHISK wrong so make sure you spell it right!!!!!

I had some time today and worked on this card with an image from Faith at D2D. I love dogs so this is right up my alley... I hope you like!!!

Here is a closeup of the tag...

I used some new paper from BasicGrey jovial collection. I loved the plaids and stripes and the bold colors of this paper... The tag is a digi and I thought it went well with the dog and the snowman loosing his head!!! I paper pierced around some of the edges punch out a snowflake border and some snow flakes and then added some red rindstones. I hope you will all go and see all the cute new digi's Faith has in the store. Lots of cute ones for Christmas.

Meet Kaela

I had some time today to finish a few cards for my blog and for my spot as a member of Faith's Design team at Designed2Delight. I haven't been able to make my commitment this month and I feel so bad about this. I hope to catch up and get some cards done for her. She is an amazing artist and a wonderful giving person... I love being on her team.
Today I have two cards to share... One is Kaela. She is available for free if you play along with the challenge every week at Designed2Delight. If not then she can be yours HERE at the shop. Faith has added lots of new things and they are DARLING!!! I hope you will pay her a visit...

I fell in Love with this Angel!!! She is so sweet and fun to color. I used paper from October Afternoon and some I had left over from last year. I think it was Basic Gray. I cut out felt and added it as a back ground for my image. I cut out my border with a die from Papertrey Ink and used nesties on the image and star. (works great to cut felt). My sentiment is from SU. A little twin and a cute button and there you are! Oh and I added lots of sparkle but as you know the camera is not friendly to capture it... I added a smile too!

My second card is a Thanks Giving card... This stamp was offered last week but I didn't get it done until today. You can still get this in the store.

I used some paper that I had in my stash...Cut the border from my punch by EKS. I used my Tria markers and then cut the image out. Used my Tim Holtz die for the top and a embossing folder for the embossing. The embellishment I made by adding some netting a small piece of tea dyed seam binding, a crochet flower with a little distress ink added,a cute button tied with some Martha Stewart bakers twin.

WoW!!! I got up this morning to 3 inches of SNOW!!! It is so cold outside right now. I believe it is only in the 30's. Toooo Cold to soon!!! I'm not ready yet.

Hi all... I hope you had a great weekend! I did and the best part is that I didn't have to go out of the house at all today!!! Yeah!!! I did this card today for a challenge at CardMakers. World CardMaking Day Blog Hop and Mini Hop with Cardmakers!!!

I was given the assignment from our own wonderful Miss Lora for the mini crop to make an interactive card. I chose a flip top card. I used a darling new digi from Faith at Designed2Delight. She has some very very cute new digi's in the store and I hope you will pay her a visit.

Details:

Cut cardstock for the card base at 51/2 x 41/2. Round top corners, distress. Cut flip top piece at 41/2 x 21/2. Round corners to match the top. Cut a piece of DP at 41/4 x 31/4 for the card front. Adhere to card front lining up the bottom and sides. Punch your border eyelet punch on a 41/4 piece of paper. Adhere to top. Place top card front over card base, slipping bottom edge under the border and aligning top and side edges. Punch a hole on the left side through all layers and fasten with a brad. Make your top tag with anything of your choice. Stamp a sentiment inside the top card base.

Designed 2 Delight Blog Hop for World CardMaking Day!!!

Hi and welcome to my blog.... If you came from Katie's blog then your in the right place if not then hop on over to the Designed2Delight blog and start at the beginning. We have some really fun things for you all so be sure to look for the letters on all the blogs. When you've collected all the letters you'll have a Discount Code spelled out that will get you a Dollar Delight Stamp from the Designed 2 Delight Store (PS you must use the code before the end of Sunday October 3rd).

O I was given this darling "Cuppycake" image to make my card with. This is one of the new dollar stamps that are now available in the shop.

I also used one of Faiths cute Birthday digi's and added it as a tag.

Here is a picture of the crimped cupcake wrapper

and the border.

Supply List:
Card stock
Patterned Paper
Paper Crimper
Stickles glue
markers
lace
buttons
twine
You will also need:
Adhesive, Border Punch and paper trimmer

Instructions:
1.) Cut your card base at 41/4 x 51/2. Cut your next layer at 41/8 x 51/4. Adhere black card stock to pink front of card. Cut your Designer paper at 4 x 5. Adhere to black layer.
2.) Cut a strip of card stock 41/2 inches long. Paper punch out your desired pattern. Run it through the crimper. Adhere to lower bottom of card. Adhere lace and add buttons threaded with twine.
3.) Print out the Cuppycake Image and use markers to color the candle and frosting. Cut this out with out the cake wrapper. Trace the cake wrapper on matching paper add details and run this through the crimper. Cut out dies and adhere and add a button threaded with twine. Print out Make a Wish color and cut. Adhere this to the small die. Punch a small hole add twine and secure it with a button.

A Halloween card for Daisy Doodles...

Good morning everyone in blog land... It is soooo hot here today. I am sweating already. I wish fall would arrive soon. I hate this above normal temps each day!!! I know when the snow hits that I will be wishing it were warm again...but that is what they mean about a women changes her mind!!!!

Anywho... I did this card for a challenge at Cardmakers. It is being hosted by Laura. It is a sketch challenge and it was a pretty easy but great sketch this week. I used my new very cute images from Daisy Doodles shop. You need to go pay Jules a visit and see all the darling new images she has added. I love all of the new Halloween ones, so I did my card around them...

I hope you like...

It's hard to see but I used some cute embellies for the ghosts and bats. I loved the paper so I tried to use as much as the sketch would allow. Cut out the witch and added her to the embossed spider web CS. Used my new large scollop edge die from Papertrey... So ribbon from my stash and thats it!!!

Hi all, I haven't been around to much lately. I am in the middle of moving STILL!!! I hope to be finally settled by Sept 11th. I am soooo tired of the mess. Living out of boxes, not knowing where you put anything...YIKES!!!! I did get to make a couple of cards today. I decided to just open a few boxes and treat myself. I wanted to make a card for a dear friend that I have on the Cardmakers site. We have been friends for 2 years now... Her father passed away this week and I wanted to send her something a little bit soft and cheerful.
My heart and prayers go out to her and her family...

Good morning...
I finally had a few minutes to make a card with this darling snowman image from Designed 2 Delight. You can get this in Faith's store. She has the most wonderful images. I hope you will stop by and get one for your own. Between boxing up my craft room ( I already miss all my stuff ), and getting ready for our move...I haven't had much time....

I colored my guy with Copics and Tria markers I cut him out with my label 11 spellbinders die, then chalked around the edges to give it a little bit more depth, I cut another one in red and placed it behind it. The sentiment I did on the computer. The border die is from Fiskars, snow flakes are MS. I added rhinestones, lace and taffeta ribbon from my stash.

When you follow from the begining you will have to collect all the letters from each blog They will be Highlighted so you won't miss them. Unscramble all the letters to make two words with a western theme leave a comment at each blog, and you will be entered into a drawing to win this really cute western set that I have used. The prize for the challenge is a $5.00 gift certificate to the Daisy Doodles digi Shop. So what are ya all waiten for!!!

Make-Your-Own Embellishments Blog Extravaganza

Hi and Welcome to the "Make Your Own Embellishments Blog Extravaganza". This is being hosted by Designed 2 Delight Stamps group on Crafter's Digital Art Center.
My Tutorial is all about making your own buttons. If you have ever had trouble matching your buttons or just finding the right one for your card or layout...well here is the answer.
Step One:
Assemble all the materials you will need...

(you can use just about any punch or die cut that you want).

Step Two:
Punch out (6) of the shapes you are using...

Step Three
Use a tacky quick dry glue and glue (5) of the shapes together. They should look like this:

Step Four:
With the last one of 6 shapes you can emboss it,stamp it or anything else you can think of...

Step Five:
Lightly sand all the edges with a sanding block or fine sandpaper until the edges are smooth and look rounded slightly. Next rub the edges lightly with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink or any ink that you have.

Step Six:
You will need to mark the button where you need your holes. I used the SU paper piercing mat and a pencil to mark my holes and the used my Cropadile to make the holes. I have also used my Provo Craft punch tool for smaller holes.

The final result!!!

Here is my card.

I went with a little different theme here. I thought the flower would be cute with a clock face as it reminded me of "Hickory Dickory Dock". I cut out the grass from the same image and popped it up, so he looks like he is hiding more. I used the theme Tilt a Whirl that is the challenge this week at Cardmakers hosted by my good friend Ellie. You are to put everything you can on a tilt. Get it Tilt A Whirl... Love it!!!!

Its a new Challenge that starts today at Daisy Doodles. The theme is, HERE COMES THE BRIDE. I chose one of Jules new flower images from the set "Just for You". I also used the cute "Love Birds" she has in the store too. I though they added just the right touch for this wedding card. It is the cutest and I can't wait to see all of your wonderful cards this week. So here is my card for my very first post as a designer for Faith at Designed2Delight. I hope you will go and pay the store a visit HERE and see all the cute new images that she has added.

My card is made with a new image that will be available in the shop soon. It's called Stitched Bloom. I loved using this digi. I used Cosmo Cricket papers in the Material Girl line, lots of distress ink, large scallop die from Papertrey Ink, I paper pierced the flowers on it and around the flower to accent it, stitched the center of the flower and leaves with twin, used a corner punch from MS on the top corners. The zigzag punch is from EK Success. (love it)...the rest is from my stash...

Happy Saturday everyone! I hope you are having a great weekend. I am just being lazy today as our weather is soooo hot!
I wanted to post this card using a new Stretch N Bubbles Image for June. Her name is Patty and she is ready to party! You can get her or so many other darling digi's from Alison at the shop HERE... I did her for a challenge at Cardmakers this week hosted by my good friend Lora. We needed to make a Birthday card with a Cartoon figure and add polka dots. I thought this fit the challenge perfectly. I colored her with my Copics and my new Tria markers... The paper is from SU. The punches are EK Success & SU. I made the wind mills for the hat and embellishment and added brads from Making Memories. The sentiment was done on my computer.

Hi all...
My card today is made with a cute image, Spring Flowers, form Daisy Doodles. You can get this image in the Store HERE. I used some paper that I have had for years on this card because it matched the colors that I chose for this image. I love sunflowers and red and yellows are one of my favorites together... I colored the digi with my new Pria markers,and I love the results from these... I used the Nestablities sunflower die's and a lot of distress ink. The border punch is MS.

Today at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenge we are having a new challenge. The theme this week is Summer!!! I hope you will join us this week. I did my card with "Summer Fun" image's and I used the Surfboard. This was such a fun card to do. Miss Daisy's images are so great and fun to color. I hope you will go take a look in the store HERE and pick some out for yourself and enter into this weeks challenge HERE... Our challenges run for two weeks so you have plenty of time to get your entry done and we would love to see it!!! We have some new Design Team members joining and I hope you will give them a big welcome. They are great!!!
I used the theme from the Beach Boys "Everybody's gone Surfin" to base my card on. I grew up to that music and always wanted to live on the Beach...
I colored the surfboards with Copics and my new Tria markers (just as good and cheeper). I used sandpaper for sand and created a little hut for the beach. I also used the beach ball image that comes in the Summer Fun package and added it to the scene. The papers are from SU. The sentiment is hard to read but it says "Fun In The Sun".

A Sketch Challenge

I did this card for the weekly sketch challenge over at Cardmakers. My good friend Terrie created it for us this week and I found it to be really fun to do. I used some cute papers from the new Cosmo Cricket "Material Girl". Love this paper!!! I cut the center strip and used my new MS punch on both sides. I punched the corners with the matching corner punch. I used my nestablities to cut the circles and stamped the top one with my Just Rite stamps then used distress ink on them. The flowers are cut with SU punches out of old sewing pattern paper that I found at a thrift store. The sentiment is from a new set from SU.

Digital Two for Tuesday...recipe book

I am so excited to post the recipe book that I made to be featured on Digital Two For Tuesday. I was chosen by Cora as one of 5 ladies to make a project with her new vintage cookbook images that you can find on her site HERE. You had the choice to make anything you wanted with all the images she gave you so I decided that I would make a cookbook for my daughter. I loved making this!! I used a lot of October Afternoon papers and die cuts from Tim Holtz for Sizzix. My Nesstie's and Copic's of course, buttons,flowers, and punches. I also used distress ink to make the pages look vintage. I then tied it together with tea stained seam binding. I still need to put all the recipe pages in each category before I give it to her.

Hi all... I just love this country apron that I bought at Isabella's Sketchbook. She has some fabulous digital images in her shop... I made this card for a challenge at Cardmakers Crop that we had this last week... I used some October Afternoon papers and did a lot of paper piecing. Glad you stopped by... I made this card for a challenge over at Cardmakers. It was hosted by Seongsook. The theme was to make a card with a sentiment and fruit. I used the Apple Image from Daisy Doodles. If you haven't visited her STORE you need to go and check out all of her beautiful and fun images. She is such a very talented artist, and I am so honored to be on her Design Team. I loved how this card turned out. I printed three apples and then colored them with Copics, distressed all three and put them on my card with pop dots. Happy Friday!!!
We are being blessed with lots of sunshine and warmer weather today. I am so tired of the cold.
I made this card for Mothers Day. I am going to enter it into the weekly challenge at Cardmakers. We are to make a card for someone that is not our mother but has inspired us... I would have given it to my very best friend but she passed away about 3 years ago. So I am going to let my daughter give it to her boss. I used my new American Crafts papers for this card. I punched out the roses to use as an embellishment. I used Martha Stewart punches, lace from JoAnn's, ribbon that I tea stained,corner punch is from Fiskars, sentiment is from SU and it says "one of a kind".

I finally found time to make a card for the Designed 2 Delight Challenge on Faith's blog. If you haven't been there you can visit HERE now and get the free image for the First of May and you have until Friday to submit your card. You then will get the next weeks image free. It's a progressive challenge... All of the images are just darling. The first one for this month is a frog and she is so darn cute. I had fun making this card. I decided to dress her up a bit...

You can't see to well in this picture but her crown is sparkly gold and has pink gems on the tips. I used some paper that I had in my stash, and some fancy pants lace. The flowers I bought in a craft store by my house. Punches are EK Success and MS.

I have a new card for today that I did for Daisy Doodles. Jules had this cute bear with an umbrella and what a great digi for our weather we are having. I loved this image and had a lot of fun making this card. You can get this cute Freddy Bear or some of the other darling ones HERE in her shop. Don't forget about the challenge going on right now on Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges blog. It's a "Make anything but a card" theme this week and last. Now onto my card...

I chose some paper with umbrella's, clouds and raindrops for my card but I can't remember who the company is. (Senior Citizen moment) The stripes and dots are from the same company... I colored the bear with copics and cut him out and popped him with dots. I paper pieced the umbrella and redrew the lines. I used a Sizzix embossing folder on the red Card stock to make the rain drops but it's hard to see in this picture. I used some long rectangle nesties and my new border punch for EK Success. The other border punch is from SU. I cut out some of the flowers from the matching paper and popped them with dots and the small ones I added brads. The sentiment is computer generated...

Good afternoon and Happy Friday... I have felt so much better this week. My anxiety has pretty much gone. Thanks for the well wishes Terrie. Love ya.
I did this card for the weekly sketch challenge at Cardmakers. This week it was hosted by the lovely Lora our administrator and director of our MB. I had fun doing this as I kept it simple. The sketch was great and if anyone wants to join the group just go over HERE and become a member. We have so much fun and everyone is sweet and very tallented cardmakers. It's a drama free enviroment... There is plenty of fun...crops, swaps, challenges, and lots of chats... Here is my card for this week:

I used paper from the Mariposa pack from DCWV. (love this paper)
The embossed butterfiles are cut with the embossing die cut from SU. and MS.
The ribbon is tea dyed made by me. (seam binding by "Hug Snug")

Punch is by EK Sucess.
Die cuts are nesties.

Slim Bird...

Hi...
This is a card that I made with Alison's digi image called Slim Bird... He was fun to create a card with. I used the theme "Dare to be Different" and switched one of the birds around and colored stripes to set him off. I hope you will go see all the cute digi's she has in the SHOP and stop back again to see some more cards made with images from Stretch N Bubbles.

Hi all,
I did this card for the weekly challenge at Cardmakers, hosted by Angelina. We were to use a fish or water animal theme. I racked my brain and remembered the stamps of fishing I bought a few years ago from SU. I thought.. "oh ya" this is fish themed!!! I stamped the image with stazon brown ink and water coloured it with reinkers from SU. I cut the fish and the fly out and placed it to look like the fish was taking the hook... I distressed it to look old so I found the sentiment to be fitting too!!! Heheheheh!!! I liked how it turned out and I hope my hubby will too...
