World CardMaking Day Blog Hop and Mini Hop with Cardmakers!!!

Hi all and welcome to the first World CardMaking Day blog hop and mini crop with CardMakers Swaps. If you have just came from Susan'sblog then you are on the right path. If you got here differently then hop on over here to the begining and you will be headed in the right direction.
Make sure to comment on every blog by midnight CST October 3rd to be entered into some super great prizes. You can get the list on Lora's blog HERE.

I was given the assignment from our own wonderful Miss Lora for the mini crop to make an interactive card. I chose a flip top card. I used a darling new digi from Faith at Designed2Delight. She has some very very cute new digi's in the store and I hope you will pay her a visit.

and the flip top!!!

Details:

Cut cardstock for the card base at 51/2 x 41/2. Round top corners, distress. Cut flip top piece at 41/2 x 21/2. Round corners to match the top. Cut a piece of DP at 41/4 x 31/4 for the card front. Adhere to card front lining up the bottom and sides. Punch your border eyelet punch on a 41/4 piece of paper. Adhere to top. Place top card front over card base, slipping bottom edge under the border and aligning top and side edges. Punch a hole on the left side through all layers and fasten with a brad. Make your top tag with anything of your choice. Stamp a sentiment inside the top card base.

Supplies:

Cardstock... Stampin Up

Patterened paper... October Afternoon

Digital Image... Designed2Delight

Saftey pin and brad... Making Memories

Sentiments... Studio G.

I have so much enjoyed all of my friends that I have made while participating in challenges and swaps at CardMakers. This is why I enjoy the art of cardmaking. It has really become my passion. I hope that you will all join us for lots of friendship and fun at CardMakers.
Just a quick reminder:

Don’t forget, if you comment on every blog by midnight CST, October 3, 2010, you will be entered in to a drawing for prizes. The full list of prizes are on Lora's blog here: http://craftsaremything.blogspot.com/2010/09/blog-hop-prizes.html.

There is a mini crop going on at CardSwaps and you are invited to play. Each member on the blog hop received a challenge in advance to showcase and entice you to participate!

So hop on over to Lori's blog and see the darling things she has created...

Thanks for stopping by,
